On February 6, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a meeting to discuss plans for the chemical industry in 2025.

In recent years, this industry has undergone significant changes, and ample opportunities have been created to attract investment in new technological chains. Despite this, the activities of large chemical enterprises still do not meet modern requirements.

At the meeting held in a critical manner, the current problems of the industry were addressed. The Head of State pointed out untapped reserves and existing issues that require prompt solutions.

In particular, the accelerated implementation of advanced technologies will enable to greatly increase the added value at chemical enterprises.

The President noted the existing shortcomings and set the task of significantly increasing the number of high-tech investment projects.

The government was instructed to promptly resolve the industry's problems, fully unlock its potential and accelerate the implementation of important projects.

Responsible persons were also tasked with introduction of digital technologies at each enterprise, ensuring maximum utilization of production capacities, increasing energy efficiency and reducing the cost of production.
