President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Cemil Kazancı, Chairman of Turkish company “Aksa Enerji”.

Issues related to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation with this company, its plans to participate in the projects of expansion and technological modernization of Uzbekistan's energy sector were considered.

The Head of our state noted with satisfaction the fruitful activity of the Turkish company in our country, jointly with which projects to build modern power plants in Tashkent and Bukhara regions with a total capacity of 740 megawatts have been successfully implemented. Today, a ceremony of launching a new power plant with a capacity of 400 megawatts was held in Nishan district of Kashkadarya region.

Promising projects in the field of “green” energy, including modernization of gas distribution systems, construction of biogas plants, sustainable energy supply to industrial zones and others in accordance with the bilateral “road map” were discussed.
