President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was familiarized with domestically manufactured products under the “Universal Filter” brand in the industrial zone of Navoi city. More than 600 types of products are manufactured here, including air and oil filters for transportation, as well as equipment for metallurgical, oil and gas and chemical industries.

The entrepreneur started in 2007 with the production of building materials and implemented projects worth $20 million between 2020 and 2023. Today, six production areas are established on three hectares of land. Modern technologies were brought and installed from countries such as Russia, China and Slovakia.

The turnover of the entrepreneur seven-eight years ago was only 1 billion soums. This year, the volume of production will reach 200 billion soums. It is also important that the enterprise provides permanent employment for 250 people.

There are more than 3 thousand industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan, influencing the atmospheric air. Most of the dust and gas cleaning installations at these enterprises are outdated. Previously, this sphere was completely dependent on imports, which led to delays in updating filters for years. Now there is an opportunity to produce competitive local products and provide services in this area. In the first nine months of this year, dust and gas cleaning equipment was updated at more than one hundred enterprises.

This enterprise also contributes to this endeavor. The production volumes are growing annually. Localization of products allowed to reduce the cost price without loss of quality.

The enterprise's products are exported to Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan. According to the results of the current year, the export volume is expected to reach $1 million, and in the future it is planned to expand the geography and volume of supplies.

Industrial goods of Navoi region, including parts and equipment for heavy and light industry, compressors, electrical devices, copper and plastic pipes, pump parts were also presented here. All of them are united by a common feature - localization.

The President emphasized the importance of further development of hydropower in the country, giving instructions to increase the participation of local enterprises in the construction of small and micro hydropower plants and the production of their components.

It was noted that through the implementation of localization projects for large enterprises such as Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine, it is possible to reduce unemployment in the region.
