On August 27, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation with the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The discussion focused on strengthening the friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, and expanding multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

At the beginning of the conversation, the National Leader of Turkmenistan conveyed sincere greetings from the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to the President of Uzbekistan.

Both leaders expressed deep satisfaction with the dynamic development of bilateral relations. The political dialogue between the two countries remains active, with frequent exchanges, and there is a steady increase in mutual trade turnover.

Cooperation between leading enterprises in various sectors of the economy is intensifying. Joint cultural and humanitarian events are also being regularly held.

During the conversation, special attention was given to advancing joint projects in the transportation, communication, and energy sectors.
