President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Chinobod Real Biznes, a fish farming enterprise in Balykchi district.

In Uzbekistan, particular attention is paid to developing the fish farming industry and introducing modern technologies. An important aspect of these efforts is the efficient use of land and water resources to achieve high yields on small areas through intensive farming methods.

Chinobod Real Biznes has introduced a modern fish farming system based on these principles. The project was implemented in accordance with the presidential decree of July 2 this year, aimed at developing the fish farming industry. The enterprise will help meet demand for trout fry among fish farms in the Fergana Valley.

The project has a total value of 30 billion soums and has created 30 jobs.

Covering two hectares, the modern complex produces 200 tons of fish annually and raises 2.5 million fry, with annual production valued at 50 billion soums.

Through the use of intensive technologies, the enterprise can produce on just two hectares the same output that would require 100 hectares using traditional methods.

The complex also has a laboratory equipped with a natural water purification system capable of treating up to 2 million liters of water. Chlorella, an algae that helps improve water quality, is cultivated here. This environmentally friendly system increases fish farming efficiency by a further 15–20 percent.

The enterprise meets all its electricity needs through solar panels. Water from the fish ponds is also put to good use: rich in phosphorus, ammonia and calcium, it is used to irrigate agricultural crops. The complex has thus established a closed-loop system that enables the efficient reuse of resources.

The enterprise exports 2 million trout fry annually to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan. Annual exports total $2 million, while its contributions to the state budget amount to 5 billion soums.

The project also contributes to local employment. In Sarvul mahalla of Balykchi district, 20 households cooperate with the enterprise in trout farming, earning additional income.

The complex has also integrated education with production. In cooperation with the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies, it has established a Practical Training Center for Fish Farming and Poultry Farming. Here, students apply their theoretical knowledge directly in the production process and acquire practical skills.

The Head of State emphasized the importance of such highly efficient projects in creating employment opportunities and strengthening food security.

The President instructed responsible officials to promote the wider adoption of this approach and increase the number of new projects aimed at multiplying production volumes through the use of intensive methods on small areas.
