Favorable business environment drives development of major projects in Kegeyli

18.09.2026

As part of his visit to Karakalpakstan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev toured the Kegeyli Baraka Naslli Parranda poultry complex.

The large complex was established in accordance with the Presidential Resolution of June 28, 2024, aimed at supporting poultry farming. The total cost of the project is $7.8 million. The enterprise covers 21 hectares and has created 70 permanent jobs for local residents.

The enterprise can house up to 200,000 chickens at a time. Currently, 130,000 chickens are being raised here. The enterprise generates 4.8 billion soums in budget revenues, making a significant contribution to the district’s economic development.

The complex produces 27.5 million hatching eggs annually, which are subsequently used to produce chickens and day-old chicks.

The Head of State highlighted the establishment of such a modern complex in Kegeyli as a significant achievement. He emphasized the importance of such projects not only in reducing production costs but also in ensuring food security in the region.

To provide the poultry with high-quality feed, the enterprise has established its own production facility. A separate plant with a daily capacity of 100 tons of compound feed has been built at the complex. All production processes are fully automated.

Previously, chicken meat and eggs were supplied to Karakalpakstan from other regions of the country. The enterprise now not only meets the Aral Sea region’s demand for these products but also exports them.

By September this year, the enterprise had exported $1.1 million worth of products to Afghanistan. By the end of the year, exports are planned to increase to $1.5 million.

Another poultry farm, covering 8.5 hectares and valued at $5 million, is planned to be launched by the end of this year. The project will create new jobs and increase production volumes.

The President emphasized that, in the future, such complexes should transform into large poultry holdings and contribute to creating not only new but also high-paying jobs. He issued relevant instructions to responsible officials.
