President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on the operations of the Situation Center established at the administration of Yoshlik Student Town in Tashkent’s Almazar district.
The country’s development and future are closely linked to the potential of educated and proactive young people eager to learn and pursue knowledge. Therefore, particular attention is given to supporting students, creating a safe and modern environment, and digitalizing management systems at educational institutions and student towns.
An important legal framework for this work is the Presidential Decree of January 5, “On Additional Measures to Introduce a Comprehensive System of Targeted Work to Create a Safe Environment in the Mahallas of the Republic.”
As part of these efforts, a Situation Center powered by digital technologies has been established at Yoshlik Student Town. The Center serves as a comprehensive system for ensuring student safety, monitoring the social situation in real time, tracking attendance, and preventing offenses.
The administration building of Yoshlik Student Town, with a total area of 1,368 square meters, was built in 2024. A total of 33 billion soums was allocated for its major renovation, the establishment of the Situation Center, and improvements to the surrounding area.
In addition to the Situation Center, the building houses a startup center, a museum of the history of higher education, the district department of the Youth Affairs Agency, and a women’s entrepreneurship center.
The Situation Center covers 41 student dormitories at Yoshlik Student Town. The system contributes to ensuring the safety of approximately 75,000 students, including 17,500 young people living in dormitories. It also enables the monitoring of student attendance and the prevention of offenses.
The Center is integrated with 17 information systems, enabling the prompt analysis of various data through a single digital platform and allowing officials to respond accordingly.
During the visit, the President was briefed on the operating principles of the Situation Center and its capabilities for monitoring safety and the social situation at Student Town in real time.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev recommended using the system to work systematically with students and promptly address their concerns.
He also instructed responsible officials to introduce this experience at other student dormitories across the country.
