President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was presented with information on efforts aimed at improving the effectiveness of communication between government bodies and the population.

Amid large-scale transformations taking place in all areas of state and public life, the importance is growing of enhancing the system for handling citizen appeals, expanding the capabilities of the People’s Reception Offices, introducing modern approaches into their work, and conducting a deeper study of public opinion and its consideration in decision-making.

It was emphasized that in order to accurately and comprehensively understand the sentiments, needs, and expectations of the population, it is necessary to use modern professional sociological and analytical methods. This is an important factor in obtaining objective information about the effectiveness of reforms and developing long-term development programs.

The President of our country emphasized that the consistent strengthening of a culture of dialogue with the people, the ability to listen to citizens, and making decisions with consideration of their opinions should be the main principle guiding the activities of state bodies.

It was noted once again that one of the main tasks of state authorities and local executive bodies is not only to promptly respond to citizens’ appeals but also to conduct a systematic analysis of them, compare with the results of sociological studies, develop necessary solutions, and, more broadly, enhance the quality of dialogue and strengthen trust between the state and society.

The need to further strengthen the institutional foundations for continuous interaction between the authorities and the population, formation of a modern model based on new approaches linked to a system for studying public opinion, was emphasized.

Following the discussion, responsible officials were given relevant instructions to improve mechanisms for dialogue with the population and to increase the effectiveness of work on citizens’ appeals.
