At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will pay a state visit to our country on November 16–17.
The agenda of the high-level talks includes issues on further advancing the Uzbek-Turkmen strategic partnership, expanding multifaceted cooperation, particularly in the political, trade, economic, transport, water and energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
As part of the visit, the heads of state will take part in the launching ceremony of the “Shavat–Dashoguz” cross-border trade zone.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will also exchange views on current issues of the international and regional agenda.
Following the summit, it’s planned to adopt a Joint statement and sign a comprehensive package of bilateral documents.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov will also take part in the seventh Consultative meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
