On November 11, a telephone conversation was held between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
Topical issues of further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance in the context of practical implementation of high-level agreements, were discussed.
Special attention was paid to maintaining the dynamics of trade turnover growth, promoting cooperation in priority economic sectors, including joint projects in energy, expanding cooperation between regions, cultural and humanitarian exchange.
The fruitful results of the second session of the Council of regions between Uzbekistan and Russia held in Moscow region on October 22 this year, were noted with satisfaction.
The importance of fruitful organization of the upcoming regular session of the Uzbek-Russian intergovernmental commission and joint business-forum, was noted.
The sides also exchanged views on the topical issues of international and regional agenda, discussed the schedule of upcoming events.
