President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The President of Kazakhstan warmly congratulated the Head of our state on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, family well-being, and new successes in his responsible state activities for the benefit of the multinational people of Uzbekistan.

Issues of further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Kazakh relations of good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance were discussed.

The growing momentum of mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas was noted with satisfaction. Trade volumes are growing. Important cooperation projects are being implemented in metallurgy, textiles, agriculture, logistics, construction, and other priority areas. Preparations are underway for the launch of the International center for industrial cooperation.

A number of cultural and humanitarian events will take place this year, including youth, tourism, and educational forums.

The heads of state also reviewed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
