President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the ongoing projects in the industrial zone of Chilanzar district of the capital.
The small industrial zone, located on the territory of Beshkurkon and Tirsakobod mahallas on an area of 320 hectares, was created on the basis of a decree of the President dated July 3, 2023. In accordance with the document, transportation, engineering, communication and road infrastructure was improved, which created conditions for the development of industry and entrepreneurship.
Energy-efficient and environmentally friendly production facilities have been placed here. To date, the number of such enterprises has reached 531. The number of jobs created is approaching 20 thousand.
The annual production potential is 6.8 trillion soums. This year, 50 enterprises plan to export products worth $180 million. Previously, Chilanzar has never reached such figures.
The Head of State visited the "Tarleplast" enterprise and examined the production process.
The total cost of the project is $25 million. 12 types of modern equipment from leading European companies have been installed at the enterprise. This has made it possible to produce 90 thousand tons of steel pipes and metal profiles per year. The volume of production in monetary terms is 900 billion soums. About 120 permanent jobs have been created at the enterprise.
The specialty of the products is that the pipes withstand high pressure and external influences, are competitive in terms of assortment and price. This is confirmed by the export of products worth $4 million to Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan last year. There are plans to further expand the geography of supplies.
The President also inspected an exhibition of products manufactured in this industrial zone and familiarized himself with the presentation of promising industrial projects.
In particular, there are plans to build a multi-storey production building and create a monocenter. As a result, another 100 new projects will be implemented in the industrial zone and 3 thousand additional jobs will be created. The projects cover such areas as construction, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, printing, automobile manufacturing, garment, knitting and confectionery production.
The Head of State talked to the entrepreneurs and gave recommendations on the production of high value-added products, creation of new jobs and development of the service sector.
