On May 15 President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Republic of Türkiye headed by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.

In the beginning of the meeting the distinguished guest passed to the Head of our state sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. 

Matters on further expansion and deepening of Uzbek-Turkish relations of comprehensive strategic partnership, primarily in trade, economic and investment spheres were reviewed.

The continuing intensive contacts and exchanges at various levels were noted with deep satisfaction. The volumes of mutual trade and investments are growing, the number of joint enterprises and flights frequency are increasing. 

The fruitful results of the regular Intergovernmental commission, business dialogue and exhibition held today in the city of Tashkent were highly appraised.

The importance of taking coordinated measures on increasing mutual trade turnover, including through expanding the goods’ nomenclature in the framework of Preferential trade agreement was noted.

The necessity of promoting joint projects in the sphere of innovation, energy, industry, pharmaceuticals, textiles, tourism, education and others, developing a new package of cooperation projects and a program of cultural and humanitarian exchange, was highlighted.

Special attention was paid to preparation of the agenda for the regular meeting of the Strategic cooperation council at the highest level.
