On March 18, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov held a telephone conversation.

The leaders exchanged warm congratulations and sincere wishes of peace and wellbeing to the brotherly people in connection with the upcoming holiday of spring and renewal – Navruz.

The leader of Uzbekistan also congratulated the President of Kyrgyzstan on the successful completion of negotiations and the signing of the agreement on the delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.

Issues of practical implementation of agreements at the highest level were discussed, in particular projects of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of trade, industrial cooperation, logistics, energy, agriculture, tourism and other priority areas.

The importance of accelerating large regional projects for the development of transport, transit and energy infrastructure was noted.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan separately focused on the preparation of the upcoming trilateral summit, as well as the “Central Asia-EU” summit and the Climate Forum in Samarkand.
