President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Chief Investment Officer of Franklin Templeton Manraj Sekhon, who is participating in the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

Franklin Templeton is one of the largest global asset management companies. It has more than 100 offices in 30 countries.

During the meeting, issues of development of the National Investment Fund of Uzbekistan, transformation of strategic state-owned enterprises and placement of their shares on stock markets were discussed.

Interest was noted in implementing programs to improve the efficiency of state-owned enterprises, develop the capital market and implement "people's IPOs".
