On July 6, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. 

The head of our state warmly congratulated the leader of Kazakhstan on his birthday. 

It was emphasized that President Nursultan Nazarbayev is known in Uzbekistan as the outstanding statesman and authoritative politician of the world, a close friend and reliable partner of our country. 

Evidence of the farsightedness and effectiveness of the policy pursued by the leadership of Kazakhstan are the large-scale programs and projects that are currently being implemented in all spheres of state and public construction, a competitive economy that is steadily developing on the basis of diversification and modernization of industries and agriculture, as well as improvement of infrastructure. 

International authority of Kazakhstan is growing steadily. In June, a historic summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in the country. International specialized exhibition “EXPO – 2017” is being held at a high level in the modern and dynamic Astana, which celebrates the Day of the capital on July 6. 

The heads of the two countries discussed practical aspects of implementing agreements that have been reached during the high-level meetings of this year. 

Revitalization of cooperation on the entire agenda of bilateral relations was noted with deep satisfaction. The volume of goods turnover is increasing, the trains between the city of Tashkent and the cities of Astana and Almaty have started to run, the number of flights between the capitals has increased, the issue of resuming the bus service is being worked out. A partnership has been established and is intensively developing at the level of the regions of our countries. 

The sides also exchanged views on the most actual regional and international issues of mutual interest. 

In conclusion, the President of Uzbekistan, once again sincerely congratulating the head of Kazakhstan, wished him good health, prosperity and new success, and to the brotherly people of Kazakhstan – peace and prosperity. 

The conversation took place in a traditionally warm and friendly atmosphere.
