Following the first session of the Supreme Intergovernmental Council, a signing ceremony for bilateral documents took place.
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, signed a Treaty on Allied Relations and adopted a Decision of the First Session of the Supreme Interstate Council.
In the presence of the heads of state, the following documents were signed:
– Intergovernmental Agreement on Labor Activity and Protection of Citizens' Rights
– Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2025–2026
– Practical Action Plan for Further Expansion of Trade, Economic, and Investment Cooperation
– Protocols on Cooperation in Preschool, Vocational, Secondary Specialized, Higher Education, and Science
– Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation "Roadmap" for 2024–2026
– Tourism Action Plan for 2024–2026
– Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2024–2026
– Protocol on Cooperation between the Center for Advanced Training of Lawyers under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Justice Academy of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan
– Agreement on Cooperation between the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan
– Protocol on Cooperation between Forensic Centers
During the visit, agreements were also reached on cooperation between the cities of Tashkent and Baku, Shakhrisabz and Beylagan, Jizzakh and Guba, along with other bilateral documents.
