On July 24, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a telephone conversation.

The Leader of Azerbaijan sincerely congratulated the Head of our state on his birthday, wishing him strong health and new successes in his responsible state activity.

They discussed the issues of further strengthening Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations of friendship and strategic partnership. The fruitful results of the second Interregional Forum, the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, and several joint cultural events were noted with satisfaction. The sides stressed the importance of thorough preparation of the economic agenda of the forthcoming summit.
