In all regions of our country, enterprises in demand by the economy are created. This contributes to the creation of new jobs, the development of industrial sectors and, ultimately, the improvement of people’s well-being.
In particular, in the past five years, the volume of the processing industry in Jizzakh region has increased 1,6 times, reaching 19 trillion Uzbek soums in the past year alone. Exports grew 2,2 times and reached US $202 million.
Foreign investment is also growing every year. If in 2018 only US $18 million of foreign investment was spent in the region, then last year this figure reached almost US $700 million. There are 260 enterprises with foreign capital in the region.
Every district has contributed to this success. In particular, in the Zaamin district, within the framework of investment programs over the past five years, about 300 projects worth 1,8 trillion Uzbek soums have been implemented and more than three thousand new jobs have been created. Thanks to the favorable business environment, the number of small business entities in the region increased fourfold.
Thanks to the beautiful nature of Zaamin, tourism becomes the driver of the district. The “Zaamin” tourist zone was recently established for the development of tourism services.
Not limited to this, the development of industry began in Zaamin. The area for this is very favorable. It is located in the central part of our country. There is a railway. Zaamin Airport was recently expanded and reconstructed.
Now, a special industrial zone “Technopark” is created in the area together with the Chinese company “Mingyuan”.
For this purpose, 400 hectares of land have been allocated. A target program of infrastructure provision has been approved and 160 billion Uzbek soums allocated.
Thirty projects have already been formed. Chinese investors will invest US $1,2 billion.
Enterprises for the production of goods with high added value and import substitution products in demand on foreign markets will be created in the zone. In particular, projects will be implemented in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, building materials, furniture industry, food industry and services.
As a result, more than 5 trhousand jobs will be created, industrial products worth 4,7 trillion Uzbek soums will be produced and export potential for US $70 million will be created.
An International Center for Exchange of Experience and Engineering will be established on the territory of the Technopark, where qualified specialists will be trained for industrial enterprises.
There will also be an office center, residential buildings, an eco-park, a large exhibition hall and a shopping center.
At the ceremony, the Head of our state pressed a symbolic button and launched the construction of the first investment projects in the technopark.
He wished business people success in implementing these modern projects.
