On June 25, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of proposals on ensuring the improvement of makhallas.

All programs in our country are implemented at the makhalla level. The great powers and opportunities are given to this system. Therefore, improvement and environment in makhallas should meet the requirements.

Currently, there are about 10 thousand makhallas in the country. Of these, almost 3 thousand consist of apartment buildings serviced by 821 management service companies. In more than 6,400 makhallas, where private houses are located, improving and gardening are mainly carried out through hashars.

Therefore, it has been proposed to establish makhalla service companies in such places. According to the proposal, these organizations will be engaged in improving makhallas, ensuring the cleanliness of streets and aryks, and planting and caring for trees. They will also provide services for repairing utility networks, sorting, and waste removal on a contractual basis.

The service company will be selected from among qualified entrepreneurs based on the decision of the makhalla council. The improvement works will be carried out by order and under the control of makhalla. To pay for the services of service companies, makhalla councils will be allocated 20 million Uzbek soums per month. They will also be able to provide the population with more than 20 different paid social services.

In general, this system will bring prosperity to makhalla, increase the culture of purity and feeling of belonging among people. The employment of craftsmen and temporarily unemployed citizens will be provided.

During the presentation it was noted that service companies will be initially established in 208 makhallas as an experiment. It was proposed to introduce this experience in all makhallas taking into account the results of the experiment.
