The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon have awarded honorary titles to a group of cultural and artistic figures of the two countries for their productive activities in preserving and popularizing the common historical heritage, spiritual values and traditions, and for their worthy contribution to strengthening the friendship between our fraternal peoples.
An award ceremony was held as part of the state visit program of the Leader of our country.
The honorary title of “People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was awarded to Mirali Dostizoda, the Rector of the National Conservatory of Tajikistan, Ismail Nazriyev, an Associate Professor at the National Conservatory of Tajikistan, Furkat Saidzoda, the head of the “Shashmaqom” ensemble named after F. Shakhabov of the Television and Radio Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Tulkin Tojiboyev, the artistic director of the Shashmaqom performers' ensemble in Bobojon-Gafurov district, and Rakhmatullo Khoshimov, the artistic director of the “Falak” ensemble at the A. Jurayev Tajik State Philharmonic.
In turn, the honorary title of “National Hafiz of Tajikistan” was awarded to Munojatkhon Yulchiyeva, a professor at the Department of Maqom Singing at the Uzbek National Institute of Music named after Yu. Rajabi, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Agabay Sabirov, the artistic director of the “Lazgi” song and dance ensemble at the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Uzbekistan, and Yulduz Usmanova, a singer. Yodgor Sagdiyev, the director of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater, was awarded the honorary title of “People’s Artist of Tajikistan”.
The two Presidents ceremonially presented the recipients with the insignia of their honorary titles.
