On April 18-19, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay state visit to Tajikistan at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

The visit program to Dushanbe includes high-level negotiations, as well as series of bilateral meetings and joint events.

The agenda also includes discussions on further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Tajik relations in friendship, good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance.

Special attention will be paid to the promotion of cooperation projects in trade, industry, agriculture, energy, transport and other sectors. Issues related to the development of interregional contacts, cultural and humanitarian exchanges and tourism will also be discussed.

The Leaders of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will also exchange views on current international and regional issues.

The Summit is expected to result in the adoption of a substantial package of bilateral documents.
