President Shavkat Mirzoyoyev visited Lalmikor makhalla in Zarbdor district of Jizzakh region.
More than 3,7 thousand people live here. Makhalla is landscaped and trees are planted within the “Yashil Makon” project.
The makhalla specializes in agriculture and livestock. Each of the 668 households has a homestead plot. In addition, 126 hectares of land have been allocated for cultivation.
According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March this year, measures are being taken to draw on new reserves and to produce products in demand on household plots and dehkan farms.
The Head of state examined the work.
Thus, there is a training area for cultivating berries in the makhalla. Bramble seedlings, raspberries and blueberries, which are then planted in private plots are prepared here. After harvest, the products are purchased by the exporters.
The President noted the importance of educating owners of homestead plots to produce high-quality berries. There was an exchange of views on the expansion of the project and the effective interaction of owners of household plots and banks in increasing the population's purchasing power.
