President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the "New Uzbekistan" array currently under construction in Sharaf-Rashidov district of Jizzakh region.
The region has never seen such large-scale construction. In recent years, dozens of factories have opened and new industrial sectors have emerged. The social infrastructure is developing accordingly.
The site of the massif under construction used to be an empty area. Now construction is underway on an area of 140 hectares. The project envisages the construction of 105 multi-storey buildings with 3,936 apartments in three phases. The houses will have 9, 12 and 16 floors, which is also a novelty for Jizzakh.
At present, the first phase consists of 4 multi-storey buildings with 204 apartments, a central boiler house, a showroom and internal roads. It is planned to build 16 more houses, a school, a pre-school educational institution and a shopping center. The "Inno-technopark" will contribute to the employment of the population.
The second phase is scheduled for 2026, and the third for 2028. In addition to houses, a makhalla center, a polyclinic, a mosque, a hotel, children's and sports grounds, and the "New Uzbekistan" park will be built. Trees will be planted on the territory of the array and alleys will be created.
The President gave instructions to build more houses than planned for the current year and to provide the population with the opportunity to purchase houses on preferential mortgages. The importance of accelerating the construction of infrastructure, schools, kindergartens, development of trade and services, including the creation of catering facilities along the roads, was emphasized.
Three such arrays are curently developed in Jizzakh region, where 156 multi-storey buildings for 4,700 apartments will be constructed. The population will be provided with all social services. The initiative to build "New Uzbekistan" settlements was launched in accordance with the Presidential Decree dated December 9, 2021. In general, work is underway in 53 massifs across the country. To date, 409 multi-storey houses for 14,4 thousand apartments have been commissioned. In the current year, it is planned to build 767 residential buildings with 31,447 apartments.
