On April 7, a phone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko.

At the beginning of the conversation, the Head of our state warmly congratulated Valentina Matviyenko on her birthday, sincerely wishing her good health, happiness and great success.

The active role of the parliaments of the two countries in the development and strengthening of Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance, as well as the implementation of agreements at the highest level, was noted with particular satisfaction.

In conclusion, the importance of further developing inter-parliamentary cooperation, including within international and regional organizations, was emphasized.
