The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, who is on an official visit to Uzbekistan, visited the mountain resort «Amirsoy».
During the talks held yesterday in Tashkent, the two Leaders agreed to continue active exchanges in the cultural and humanitarian spheres, including sports and tourism. Following the high-level meetings, the Sports Cooperation Programme and the Tourism Action Plan 2024-2025 were signed, among other documents.
In recent years, Uzbekistan has implemented large-scale projects to develop sports and tourism infrastructure. Among them is the all-season mountain resort «Amirsoy» in the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region, which has been visited by some 4 million tourists over the past three years.
During the visit to this world-class complex, the Presidents got acquainted with the conditions for athletes and visitors and exchanged views on increasing tourism between the two countries.
The sincere communication continued on the ski slope, where the Leaders went skiing together.
