On December 15, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a working meeting with Suma Chakrabarti, Adviser for Economic Development, Effective Governance and International Cooperation.

The progress of measures and further plans to improve the efficiency of the socio-economic reform programme in our country were discussed.

Special emphasis was placed on increasing the efficiency of the ongoing work on improving the investment climate and business environment, promoting large-scale projects in various sectors of the economy with the participation of leading foreign companies and financial institutions.

The sides discussed issues on the process of Uzbekistan's accession to the World Trade Organization and improvement of our country's position in international rankings.
