On November 7, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the former Prime Minister of Qatar Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, who is the founder of several major investment and industrial holdings in Qatar.

The Qatari delegation arrived in Uzbekistan to further develop the agreements reached at the highest level.

The issues of implementing promising investment projects in Uzbekistan were discussed.

In particular, the construction of a modern hotel complex in the city of Bukhara, a large logistics center, a commercial and residential complex in the city of Tashkent, the creation of high-speed road and rail infrastructure, the modernization of airports, as well as projects in the energy sector, metallurgy, the textile industry, livestock farming, the production of construction materials and others.

Plans to create a joint fund to provide financial support for these projects were also discussed.

The projects will be implemented on the basis of a joint roadmap.
