The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met Luke Remond, Chairman and CEO of EDF, during the Uzbek-French Business Forum in Samarkand.

EDF is the world's largest operator of nuclear power plants, with assets worth €427 billion. It operates in 30 countries worldwide and is involved in the production, transmission and distribution of electricity.

During the meeting, the President of our country supported the company's participation in the construction of combined-cycle power plants in Syrdarya and Surkhandarya and stressed the importance of accelerating the implementation of these projects.
