President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited school №12 in Beshkent, located in Karshi district.

At present, 1.4 thousand boys and girls study in this school. More than a hundred teachers educate them. The school was completely renovated last year. There is established training in one profession and two foreign languages. The school also offers computer literacy clubs, sewing, carpentry and other activities.

The Head of our State visited the classes, and conversed with teachers and students, as well as inspected the conditions in the school and the quality of the textbooks.

At present, the whole country is actively preparing for the winter season and tree planting events are being organized. The President inspected work in progress at this school. Responsible officials instructed on issues related to heat supply in social infrastructure and the implementation of energy-saving technologies. The need to update school construction standards to include heat conservation measures was highlighted.

Special attention was given to the greening of school grounds as part of the “Green Place” project.

- A school is also a cultural centre. Teachers are the ones who set the example in everything. If the area around the school is landscaped, if seasonal flowers are planted, it will be both an education and an image for young people," the head of state said.
