President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Heat and Power Plant No.3 of the "Toshkent Issiklik Markazi" enterprise in the Shaykhantakhur district.
This complex was built in 1972. The five operating boiler houses here produce 400 Gkal of heat and supply it to 491 residential buildings and over 150 social institutions.
Last winter, due to a severe cold snap, the pressure of the natural gas supply to the heating plant decreased. This had a negative impact on the supply of heat to consumers. In this regard, this year the possibility of producing heat from alternative fuel was created. In particular, a fuel oil installation was built, two boilers were converted to hybrid operation - gas and fuel oil. All boiler houses have been repaired. To ensure normal gas pressure, a separate 4.6 km gas pipeline was connected to the heating center.
The work carried out has enabled uninterrupted heat to be supplied to consumers during the autumn and winter seasons. In particular, heating networks can work stably at temperatures up to 30 degrees below zero. Reserves of fuel oil will be used. Pipe insulation has been strengthened, allowing to reduce heat lost. This provides heat energy to the population of 65 degrees or more.
Similarly, Heat and Power Plant No.5 has been modernized.
"We recognize that this system was neglected for many years. Heat companies worked with old resources, using outdated methods. The costs were not justified by the amount of heat produced. It was neither possible to satisfy people nor to ensure companies' solvency. We are modernizing the heat supply, taking into account last year's tests and using the available opportunities. Now it is necessary to take measures for heat preservation and conservation," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
