On October 11, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the Singaporean company "Indorama Corporation" led by its founder and Chairman, Sri Prakash Lohia.

During the meeting, they discussed the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation with the leading Singaporean company, which is a significant investor and important technological partner in the development of Uzbekistan's chemical, textile, and agricultural sectors.

It is worth noting that "Indorama Corporation" has implemented major investment projects in our country, focusing on the cultivation and deep processing of cotton fiber. The modernization of the Kokand Superphosphate Plant is also being carried out.

The plans of the Singaporean investor for implementing new projects in Uzbekistan, including the expansion of capacities at "Ferganaazot," privatization of industry enterprises, and the establishment of modern textile and agricultural productions, have been supported by the head of our state.

Upon the completion of these projects, the total volume of direct investments by the company in our country will increase from the current $600 million to $850 million.

The importance of jointly developing a "roadmap" to promote priority projects in investment cooperation has been emphasized.
