On September 26, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the leading Chinese company "BYD," headed by its President and Founder Wang Chuanfu.

It is worth noting that "BYD" is a global leader in the production of modern electric cars and next-generation batteries. Producing up to 2 million cars per year, the Chinese conglomerate sets the main trends in the development of the global automotive industry.

The focus of the meeting was the practical aspects of the company's expansion in Uzbekistan, in particular, the early launch of the hybrid and electric car production plant in the Jizzak region with the increase of capacity in subsequent stages up to 300 thousand cars.

A special attention was given to localization projects for components and spare parts to reduce production costs, as well as the organization of car exports to third-country markets.

Plans to supply "BYD" electric buses to our country and to establish engineering and service centers were also supported.
