The President of Uzbekistan visited the “Kakhramon” makhalla in Romitan district and got acquainted with the population’s living conditions.
About 3.9 thousand people live here. The growth points of the makhalla are handicrafts and greenhouses. In greenhouses occupying 200 hectares, vegetable crops in demand on the market are grown. Furniture production, sewing, and gold embroidery are also well-developed.
The President visited residents Khalil Kobilov and Gulbakhor Tukhtayeva. Neighbors and representatives of the older generation gathered in their yard, and a sincere conversation took place.
The Makhalla Chairman spoke about the ongoing changes and people’s lives.
There are more than ten shops, sewing workshops, hotels, and restaurants in the makhalla where young people work. In general, there is no unemployment here, and no crime has been committed for a long time.
The infrastructure has improved as part of the “Obod Makhalla” program. Roads have been paved, and sidewalks have been built. A transformer has been installed. Electrical networks have been updated.
“What gives strength to people? Feel the results of reforms in your life. It is with this feeling that our compatriots look into the future today. Our people have given us high trust. Expects new changes and new initiatives. This is a huge responsibility”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Following the meeting, the representatives of the elderly shared their proposals regarding the education of young people and the development of the district.
