On July 24, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

The Kyrgyz Leader heartily congratulated the Head of our state on his birthday, and wished peace, prosperity and sustainable development of Uzbekistan.

In the course of the conversation, topical issues of further deepening Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of good-neighbourliness and comprehensive strategic partnership were discussed.

The sides noted with particular satisfaction the results of the implementation of joint cooperation projects, including in the industrial, automotive, textile and electrical sectors, the modernization of energy infrastructure and other spheres of practical interaction.

A particular attention was paid to the preparation of a portfolio of new trade and investment projects within the Intergovernmental Commission.

The Leaders of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan also reviewed the schedule of upcoming high-level events.
