The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
Russian Leader cordially congratulated our President on his convincing victory in the elections.
It was especially noted that the voting results once again demonstrated broad popular support for the ongoing course of large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at further dynamic development of the country, strengthening its international authority, and protecting the rights and interests of citizens.
Following the conversation, topical issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed.
The Leaders separately dwelled on the issues of expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, maintaining the dynamics of trade turnover and promoting projects of industrial cooperation.
The Presidents called for the further development of interaction at the level of business and regions, the continuation of an active humanitarian exchange.
There was also an exchange of views on topical issues of the regional agenda.
