President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Shaykhantakhur district to get acquainted with the living conditions of the population and the ongoing creative work.

Uzbek President got acquainted with the work of the vocational guidance center opened in Samarkand Darvoza makhalla. Here, the youth and women are trained in modern professions in trade, marketing, finance and information technology. In the future, graduates will be assisted in finding high-paying jobs. The area around the center is landscaped, grapes are planted.

A presentation of measures to reduce poverty and ensure employment of the population took place. Following the meeting, held on May 10, it was proposed to stimulate entrepreneurs to create new jobs.

For instance, there are 51 makhallas in Shaykhantakhur district. There are more than 100 entrepreneurs with high potential. On the basis of an agreement, the unemployed in the makhalla are assigned to them. The state will create conditions, and entrepreneurs will educate the population and provide them with jobs.

«This is beneficial for both parties. At present, many entrepreneurs want to expand their activities, everyone needs qualified workers. Our goal is to let enterprises turn into practical monocenters and train specialists for the industry. The state will provide the necessary infrastructure, financial and tax incentives. Due to the increase in jobs, the growth of the purchasing power of the population, these investments will eventually return to the economy. Most importantly, this practice will become for young people not only the acquisition of a profession, but also a school of life», said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

During the presentation, the proposals for the use of  tourism potential of Shaykhantakhur district were also considered. It was noted that the khokims of districts should study the experience of South Korea, Singapore and other countries.

Moreover, the President visited the center's sports and recreation complex, which has an indoor pool and a gym.
