The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a platoon of Border Troops of the State Intelligence Service in Surkhandarya Region.
The President got acquainted with conditions at the administrative building of the outpost and inspected the military equipment and armament used by the border guards. The importance of using drones in protecting the state border was underscored.
The President reviewed the measures being held at the Uzbek-Afghan border security.
Along with strengthening combat readiness of troops, a considerable attention in our country is paid to social protection of servicemen and their families. Near the troop base, the houses of border guards have been erected with landscaped yards.
The President visited one of the houses and conversed with families of the servicemen.
«Your role is enormous in ensuring that the defenders of the Homeland fulfil their duties calmly, you are the ones who are responsible for the upbringing of children. You are showing a great bravery in helping your husbands. You too serve to defend the Homeland», Shavkat Mirziyoyev has said to military spouses.
A playground for children and sports, a tailoring workshop and a confectionery shop have been established in the residential yards. A bus is provided to transport children to school and kindergarten.
