The «Elegant shoes and» enterprise in the Shakhrikhan District is a clear example of the rapid development of entrepreneurship with the proper attention and support. The entrepreneur, who started out as a shoemaker, has kept his workroom in a small building for the last four years. Last year, using his own funds, he expanded his business and set up a new enterprise worth $8 million. A four-storey complex was built with future growth in mind.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev became familiar with the activities of this enterprise.

The equipment from Turkey and China has been installed here, as well as Turkish designers and technologists involved.

On the first stage, 60 different types of shoes and leather goods have been set into production. Currently, 500 people work here. The same amount of jobs will be created during the second stage.

The main objective of the enterprise is export. This year's plans call for making export sales of up to $4 million. The entrepreneur has said he aims to enter the European market. In this regard, the President has given relevant instructions to the responsible officials.

«The leather industry is also becoming a driver, and the number of such enterprises is growing», Shavkat Mirziyoyev has said. «Now we need to provide them with uninterrupted raw materials. Secondly, it is important to provide women working at home with orders. Altogether, with proper support for such advanced enterprises, we can turn them into a cluster».

The responsible officials were tasked to work with scientific institutions for localization of imported materials.

The President has talked with the women who work at the enterprise.

«Today we have come to Andijan to address issues of expanding entrepreneurship, creating sustainable sources of energy, increasing people's incomes. When will your salaries increase? When the products you make are well sold in the market. This requires quality, knowledge and skills. Therefore, we pay a particular attention to vocational training for our women. If a woman is contented, the family and society will also be contented», the President has said.
