President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the participants of the World War II.
First, the President visited the house of Abbos ota (the elder person) Appanov in the Almazar District of Tashkent.
Abbos ota was born in 1924 in Tashkent. In February 1942, he went to war, participated in fierce battles of Smolensk, then in Belarus, Poland and Germany. Returning from the war in 1946, he taught German and English for many years at the secondary school of the Achaobod makhalla (the local residential community), and also wrote a German textbook for primary classes.
The merits of Abbos Appanov were worthily appreciated. He was awarded many state awards.
“I came to see you, to have a cordial conversation, to wish you a sound health. First of all, I congratulate you and, in your person, all the participants of the war, our people on this holiday. I wish you to remain, in good health, being our beacon and an example for the youth,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev has said.
“By the grace of the Almighty, thanks to the care and kindness of our state, we happened to live to such an age. In addition, I wish you that Allah give you strength and success in your good deeds for the benefit of our people. Thank you for your consideration,” Abbos ota has said.
“You deserve such respect,” the President said. - Honoring the elders is our great value. We continue doing this. Let our youth know and follow this example.
The veteran’s children are already retired. He has 21 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
The President also visited the house of Fyodor Fedin, who lives in the Yashnabad District.
Fedor Semenovich was born in 1927 in the Mordovia Region of Russia. In 1944, he was called up for military service, during which he served as an operator and instructor. Participated in the battles near Minsk. After the war, he served in China for several years. In 1949, he arrived in Tashkent and began working at an aircraft factory. He has many labor awards. He and his wife raised two daughters.
The President inquired about the veteran’s health and living conditions. He has expressed his appreciation for the contribution to the current peaceful days and many years of productive service.
The President also visited the house of Akmal ota Akromov, who lives in the Mirzo Ulugbek District.
Akmal ota was born in 1924 in Tashkent. After graduating from school in 1941, he went to work at a machine-building plant. Since 1942 he fought at the front, was severely injured.
Returning from the war, the veteran worked in trade and the food industry. In retirement, he headed the Tashkent City Society of War and Labor Veterans, the city branch of the “Nuroniy” Foundation.
“You have gone through the glorious path - you participated in the war, showed heroism, after the war you worked productively, raised your grandchildren and lived to this venerable age. Your life, every word of yours is a school for us. I wish you a sound health, long life,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Akmal ota, on behalf of all war veterans, expressed sincere wishes to the President.
