President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Kamashi makhalla (the local neighborhood community area) of Khasbi District.

More than 6 thousand people live here. In order to create favorable conditions for them, the «Obod Qishloq» (‘A Prosperous village’) Program has been implemented.

Along the road leading to the makhalla, more than 40 trade and service outlets have been constructed from lightweight structures. As a result, about 200 people were employed.

The houses are provided with electricity, natural gas and potable water. More than 8 kilometers were paved, more than 18 kilometers of internal roads have been covered with a sand-gravel mixture.

The President got acquainted with the conditions in the makhalla center, watched classes in children’s creative and sports clubs.

«Thanks to the results of such work, the makhalla is transformed. The people feel the changes. Now this center should serve people, it should always be crowded. It is necessary to establish more services, engage the youth in sports and various clubs», - Shavkat Mirziyoyev has said.

This year, 600 women were involved in the production of sewing goods based on the home-based work.

The cooperative breeding is organized at 50 households in incubators. The chicken is being grown for meat at 300 households and laying hens - at 200 households.

In the conversation with the district activists, the issues of education and employment of youth were discussed. Noting that the Khasbi District has long been famous for its unique school of pottery and carpet weaving, the President has instructed the «Khunarmand» Association to develop these areas in the district.
