President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the «University» Makhalla (the local community area) in Almazar District.

The implementation of social programs in terms of makhallas is the main requirement of our President. Such work is also organized at the «University» Makhalla. A modern repair of the building of the gathering of citizens has been completed. The nearby yards of houses and playgrounds have been landscaped. The internal roads are covered with concrete and 700 meters of bicycle paths have been built.

In November last year, the nationwide project «Yashil Makon» was launched. The President has noted that along with planting the tree seedlings, it is necessary to create streets with grapevine galleries at makhallas. In this regard, at the «University» Makhalla – on the street with a length of 750 meters, the props were installed and grapes were planted. The flowers such as basil and mirabilis have been planted in the squares in front of multi-storey buildings.

More than 4 thousand people live at the makhalla. The facade and entrances of 19 apartment buildings have been updated. There is also a private school for 150 seats. The local youth and women work in more than a dozen small enterprises.

The President got acquainted with the work done at the makhalla. He has had a conversation with activists and elders.

“First of all, I want to congratulate you on the onset of Ramadan and the fact that your makhalla has acquired such a well-maintained appearance. This is an example of what happens if leaders work lowering to the level of ordinary people. Previously, the khokim (a governor or mayor) remembered the makhalla when he wanted to. Now all governance systems will be present at a makhalla. Why? To reach every family, every person. I want this work to be accelerated at all makhallas,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev has said.

Last year, 579 makhallas of Tashkent received 2 billion Uzbek soums. This year, each of them will be allocated another 1 billion Uzbek soums.

The President also got acquainted with the activities of the “Olmazor Holding Grand” operating service company functioning at the makhalla.

As in many places, there were problems with public services at the «University» Makhalla.

On June 19, 2021, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a resolution «On further improvement of the management system for apartment buildings». Thanks to the new opportunities, the “Olmazor Holding Grand” company was established. A two-storey building received the comfortable conditions.

The company serves 103 apartment buildings at 7 makhallas. Previously, these houses served 27 companies. They did not have their own specialists, except for a director, as well as special equipment. Currently, the service company has created 70 permanent jobs. It has purchased a special equipment. A training center for utilities has also been opened in the company building.

The company has a billing system. For the convenience of the population, the mobile application «My Home» has been launched.

In addition, about 30 consumer service stations have been organized at the building of the management company, as well as in the basements of multi-storey buildings. The President got acquainted with their work.

A presentation of the management service companies that will be created in the districts of Tashkent also took place.
