On March 10 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on the issues of preparation for the Tashkent International Investment Forum.

The event is scheduled for March 24-26. It is expected that 1,5 thousand large investors and high-level guests from 56 countries, the representatives of international organizations and financial institutions will take part in it. In particular, the Presidents of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Asian Development Bank, ministers of a several states, heads of large corporations and companies will attend at the forum.

More than 40 events will be held as a part of the forum, including a plenary session and sectoral meetings, round tables, presentations, briefings and others.

Along with this, the forum will become a platform for the presentation of promising projects that are essential for the country’s economy. The opportunities for attracting the foreign investments, the available conditions and attractive spheres of activity for foreign investors shall be presented.

At the meeting the President was informed about the process of preparation for the forum.

Noting that such kind of investment forum is being held in Uzbekistan for the first time, the President gave instructions to organize the event at a high level.

The task was set to demonstrate the openness of our country to the international business community, to inform it in further detail about the investment potential of each industry and region. The need to achieve the concrete results in attracting advanced technologies and investments to large projects was indicated.
