On February 26, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

At the beginning of the conversation, the President of Uzbekistan has warmly congratulated the Turkish leader on his birthday, sincerely wishing him a sound health, prosperity and great success, as well as peace and prosperity to the friendly Turkish people.

During the conversation, the topical issues of the bilateral agenda were discussed.

The sustainable and dynamic development of the Uzbek-Turkish multifaceted cooperation was noted with satisfaction.

The intensive contacts continue at different levels and the mutual trade indicators are growing. The scale of cooperation between the countries’ leading regions and enterprises is expanding and a number of major investment and infrastructure projects are being implemented jointly. The main cultural and humanitarian programs are being implemented.

The Presidents have paid a special attention to the preparation of the next meeting of the Top-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Tashkent.

The views on the international policy and cooperation at the regional structures were also exchanged.

The telephone conversation took place in a traditionally friendly and trusting atmosphere.
