During his trip to Samarkand President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, according to tradition, visited the mausoleum of the great hadith (sayings, teachings and ways of life of Holy Prophet Muhammad) compiler Imam Bukhari.
The Surahs from the Quran were recited.
The President got acquainted with the ongoing construction work in the complex. A mosque for 10 thousand people, four minarets and terraces are under construction here.
An underground gallery is being organized on the right side of the mausoleum, from where pilgrims will be able to see the scholar’s grave. The mausoleum will be decorated with carvings and calligraphic inscriptions, and Surahs from the Quran and hadiths will be inscribed in the ancient style on the walls.
The information about the work to be accomplished has been presented. The hotels, a parking lot, a bus station, catering points, a market stall and ablution rooms are to be built next to the complex.
President gave instructions on quality construction of these facilities and creation of modern conditions for receiving numerous pilgrims.
President has also visited the mausoleum of the First President Islam Karimov at the Khazrati Khizr Memorial Complex.
