On February 7 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of construction projects.
As it is well-known, the construction of the new Imam Bukhari Complex in the Samarkand Region is continuing. The work on it began last Ramadan. The frames of the buildings are raised. The finishing works will begin soon.
At the presentation, the sketches of the interior and exterior of the complex were considered. Thus, the national ornaments and decorative stones will be used. The mausoleum of Imam Bukhari will be decorated with carvings and calligraphic inscriptions. The walls will be painted in the ancient style of the Quran Surahs and Hadith. In finishing works it will be used mainly the light colors and warm shades of colors.
A much creative work is also underway in the Khorezm Region. In particular, it is planned to create a quarter of Al-Khorezmi in the city of Urgench, where a university, an IT park, a school and a kindergarten, scientific and cultural centers, a sports complex will be built. In the center of the quarter there will be a square named after Muhammad Al-Khorezmi with a new monument to the great scientist.
The Jaloliddin Manguberdi Complex is also being built in Urgench. A majestic monument to the courageous commander has been erected. The surrounding area of almost 8 hectares of land is being improved.
It is also planned to build a palace of arts for a thousand places. It will create modern conditions for the preservation, study and wide dissemination of the traditions of the Khorezm art of lazgi (dancing), concerts and various events.
In accordance with the Decree of the President “On measures to organize a qualitatively new system of training in the field of military medicine” dated October 22, 2020, the Military Medical Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established.
The decree defines the tasks for the construction of new buildings and improvement of the educational and material base of the academy. During the presentation, the relevant projects were reported. Thus, it is envisioned to build the educational and medical buildings, hostel, service house, repair of existing buildings and improvement of the territory.
The President gave instructions on improvement and qualitative implementation of projects.
The state pays a profound attention to the development of sports, while the necessary infrastructure is being created on the ground. To this end, it is set to build an Olympic town in Yashnabad District of Tashkent. A 160-hectare town will have all the necessary infrastructure, including a universal stadium, outdoor and indoor sports complexes, accommodation, hotels, rowing complex on the river Chirchik. These facilities will be used for large competitions, as well as serve as a training base for the future Olympic Reserve Institute.
The country is creating broad conditions for the development of tourism. In particular, a tourist and recreational zone “Charvak” is being created in Bostanlik District of Tashkent Region. The President has been informed about the project.
Thus, at the Charvak reservoir and along the Chirchik River the ecotourism facilities will be organized. First of all, it is envisaged to create a convenient transport system. The recreation areas will appear in the areas of “Chorvok Darvozasi” and “Yusufkhona”, and in South Khojakent - a traditional mountain village. A special attention will be paid to the preservation of the picturesque nature and terrain. There will be the parks, picnics and bicycle paths. A similar project is envisioned for the territory of Chimgan.
The President noted that these complexes should be accessible to the people. He has set a task to provide inexpensive and convenient services.
The project concept of the expansion of the city of Tashkent through to the adjoining territory, the provision of infrastructure and transport links for the newly constructed areas has also been considered.
