Following the negotiations at the top level, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.
At the beginning of the conversation, the President has cordially congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on the Day of the First President, which is celebrated on the first day of December in recognition of the outstanding merits of the founder of independent Kazakhstan.
The Leader of our country has noted that owing to the deeply thought-out political course outlined by Nursultan Nazarbayev, brotherly Kazakhstan has achieved tremendous successes in all fields of socio-political and socio-economic life.
The President of Uzbekistan has highly appreciated the personal contribution of Elbasy to the development of strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The signing of the Declaration on Allied Relations today was a logical continuation of the intensification of contacts.
The issues of the bilateral agenda and regional cooperation were discussed at the meeting. It was noted that political dialogue has been stirred up in Central Asia, a mechanism of Consultative meetings has been launched and the atmosphere of friendship and trust has been formed.
Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed the importance of the current state visit for further deepening the strategic partnership as well as alliance between the two countries.
Then Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Nazarbayev’s offices are preserved in their original form at the museum. In the Majilis Hall, where the sessions and meetings with journalists were held, there is an exposition telling about the development of modern Kazakhstan. Many exhibits demonstrate Kazakhstan’s foreign policy ties with foreign partners.
After getting acquainted with the museum, Shavkat Mirziyoyev left an entry in the Book of Honored Guests.
