In the «Bukhara Desert Oasis» tourist complex in the Romitan District of the Bukhara Region, the final of the intellectual game «Zakovat» was held.

The event was attended by the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who, together with the audience, watched the course of the competition.

The final, in which the teams of Khorezm and Navoiy regions competed, ended with the victory of Khorezm.

At the end, the President delivered a speech.

“I am grateful to you for this vigor, the desire for knowledge,” - he said. “I look at today’s youth and I am glad that the special attention we have paid to education in recent years, the decisions made, and the stimulation of reading books are yielding results. I am proud of you!”.

The President has highlighted the selecting of Bukhara as a host city for the games, because this land has nurtured many great scientists, such as Imam Bukhari, Ibn Sino, Abdukhalik Gijduvani, Bakhouddin Naqshband, Muhammad Narshakhi, Abdurauf Fitrat. The President expressed confidence that today’s youth will become their worthy successors.

“We have chosen the path of providing a better life for our people, building a society in which the honor and dignity of a person are the highest value. Who can we rely on to achieve the huge goals that we have set for ourselves? Certainly, for such educated and patriotic youth as you are,” - the President said.

It has been for 20 years since the launch of intellectual game «Zakovat». In his speech the President has put forward several initiatives to create conditions for educated youth. First of all, taking into account the thirst for knowledge and the intellectual potential of the youth of our country, the Zakovat games shall be turned into a public intellectual movement.

Fifty billion Uzbek soums will be allocated annually to financially support the movement. The activities of the club will be organized in all regions, even in the most remote areas. For the winners, a «Zakovat» scholarship will be allocated. A separate building for the club and the Town of Intellectual Games will be built in Tashkent, and in the regions the intellectual parks, as well as an Intellectual School based on a youth camp - in the Bostanlyk District.

Next year, the first Intellectual Olympiad for the prize of the President will be held among the students. The meetings will be organized with the world-famous scientists, including Nobel Prize laureates.

The special grants and subsidies are provided for programmers who create software products and mobile games aimed at increasing the intellectual potential of the younger generation.

“A person who has achieved his dream through hard work is the happiest person. Therefore, always strive to conquer heights, fight for your good goal. Constantly comprehend knowledge, believe in yourself, discover and create something new, confidently move forward,” - Shavkat Mirziyoyev has urged.

By the Decree of the President, the founder of the club «Zakovat» Abdurasul Abdullayev and the winners of the final stage were awarded the state awards.

On this, the President has completed his trip to Bukhara and left for the Navoiy Region.
