On October 7 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in the Syrdarya Region, where he got acquainted with the activities of Sirdaryo Mega Lux joint venture.

The production of large-capacity polypropylene bags was launched here last year. These bags are also known as flexible containers, as well as they can carry loads between 500 and 5,000 kilograms. Today, they are widely used in manufacturing, trade, agriculture and logistics. Sirdaryo Mega Lux is capable of producing 132 million of these containers per year.

The enterprise, consisting of seven premises, is consistently developing. The production of the double-layer film was launched in May this year. The production of stretch films and nonwovens using spun-bond technology will begin in the coming months.

Currently, more than 2 thousand people work here. The number of jobs will reach 5 thousand when these projects reach their full capacity.

The company exports its products to 14 countries, including Russia, Israel, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The new projects will serve to increase the volume of exports to $215 million.

The President was also reported on the future projects.

It is envisioned to create a technopark for the production of polymer products and implement eight projects for $350 million in the next five years. They will attract investments for $260 million and technologies from Germany, Italy and Austria for this purpose.

The President has noted the need for paying a special attention not only to the economic, but also to the social efficiency of projects.

«The raw materials for these products are here in our country. If we use this wisely and ensure a balance between price and quality, our products will be competitive. It is necessary to deal with not only economic, but also socio-economic projects. Both entrepreneurs and people should earn income», - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The instructions were given to double the volume of production and build a housing for workers.
