On September 1 President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.

The Vice President of the Emirates has cordially congratulated the President and the people of Uzbekistan on the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence, sincerely wishing peace, well-being, great success and prosperity.

The topical issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed. The progress in the implementation of the agreements reached following the results of the high-level visit to the United Arab Emirates in March 2019 was considered.

The results of practical interaction in trade, economic, investment, energy, transport, communication and other spheres were noted with satisfaction. It was emphasized that with the company Masdar the construction was successfully completed and the first solar photovoltaic station in Uzbekistan was commissioned.

The concerted efforts are actively promoting the educational and humanitarian exchange programs. In Tashkent, the Government Accelerator Office began its work as part of the measures to improve the efficiency of public administration in our country.

There was also an exchange of views on the international and regional agenda.
